The Floating Headings plugin adds a Notion style collapsible outline sidebar that floats alongside your editor. It displays visual heading indicators in a compact collapsed view, expanding on hover to show the full outline. Click any heading to jump there instantly. The panel includes real time search filtering, collapsible hierarchies and configurable positioning (left/right, vertical placement). You can filter by heading levels (H1-H6), customize appearance extensively (widths, heights, line thickness, animation speed) and even use custom regex patterns to parse complex heading formats like inline LaTeX or links.
